Each bay of shelving will comprise:
- Pre-assembled frames with feet attached (2 frames for a starter bay and one frame for an extension bay)
- 10 beams
- 5 shelf panels for 900mm wide bays or 10 shelf panels for 1200mm and 1500mm
- 20 safety clips
- 1 set of assembly instructions
Check all materials have been delivered correctly before commencing installation
Make sure that you have a clear are safe from obstructions before you start
Make sure that the floor is flat and level. Should you have any concerns, fix the shelving down to the floor through the hole in the base-plate, once the bay is complete and in position
The initial construction will require two people:
- Fit the top caps to the frames
- Fit a pair of beams at 100mm (4") from the base-plate and another pair approximately mod height
Connect the two pairs of beams to the next frame.
The unit will now be stable enough for only one person to continue
Fit the remaining beams at the levels you require, knocking them down into the frame slots using a soft faced hammer and as close to the upright as possible.
You can now reposition the mid height beams to the level you require (if necessary)
Simply lay-in the shelf panels to all beam levels
You may find it easier to fit shelf panels starting at the top and working downwards to the bottom level
Fit the safety clip to both ends of each beam. If they are proving difficult to locate, tap the beam further into the upright slot
Your bay is now ready to either add to with an extension bay or load up with all those items you've been dying to sort out
Don't forget to fix the shelving down to the floor if the floor is uneven
